Transportation rules
Luggage
In addition to regular luggage storage areas located on the trains, your luggage can be delivered almost anywhere in Italy for a small fee. The door to door luggage service is available for Frecciarossa and Frecciargento users in the following cities (Turin, Milan, Florence, Bologna, Naples, Rome, Salerno, Venice and Bari). At some Frecciarossa stations, porters can be booked to assist with the luggage. Different charges may apply and you may be required to pay for services on the spot. The total weight of your standard size pieces of luggage must not exceed 25 kg. The sum of the three dimensions for the pieces of luggage should not be larger than 250 cm.Bicycles
Regular trains marked with a bicycle sign will accept them on board for a small fee. It’s possible to carry your bicycle with you for free if you keep it in an appropriate bicycle bag. The bag has to be placed in the designated space on the train. Some international trains will also allow you to carry your bicycle.Animals
Passengers are allowed to travel with their pets. There are no fees for bringing along an animal that stays in its travel container. The container must be smaller or equal to 70x30x50 cm. Larger animals can travel with their owner as long as they have paid the price of a ticket for animals.Accessibility
Assistance for people with reduced mobility includes services for individuals in wheelchairs, older people, pregnant women, visually impaired, hearing impaired and mentally handicapped travelers. Dinner and breakfast are served in the dining car. Reservations are not required and two services with 50 places each are available. The passengers can choose Italian and French cuisine dishes a la carte or enjoy set menus dinner service. A light meal or snack option is also available in the bar car.

Children under 4 can travel for free, provided that they share the adult’s bed or couchette.Luggage

Bicycles are not allowed unless folded or dismantled. Bikes can be carried in bags, under the respect of Thello’s luggage policy.Animals
Pets within 5 kg of weight are allowed on board, provided that they are accommodated in a cage/bag of maximum size 50x30x23 cm. Large dogs between 5 and maximum 50 kg of weight are allowed to travel in 1, 2 or 3 bed cabins at exclusive use for their owner(s) and under owner’s responsibility, upon payment of a ticket on board.What are EuroNight trains ?
